End of Life for WolfQuest 2.7 for Android (6 July 2023)


Due to new technical requirements by Google, WolfQuest for Android has reached its end of life and has been removed from the Google Play Store, and multiplayer is now disabled. The single-player game will continue to work for players who have already downloaded it and purchased in-app products, and they'll be able to download it again if necessary (with the same Google account.) For the time being, WQ 2.7 on iOS is still available and both single-player and multiplayer are still functional, as is the Mac/Windows version. We apologize for these changes, but technology marches on and with code dating back to 2007, it's no longer possible to keep the Android app updated.

  • Mobile devices: iOS only. As of July 2023, WQ 2.7 is no longer available for Android or Kindle
  • Note: The game does not run on ChromeBooks

When you purchase WolfQuest 2.7 for PC or Mac, you will also get WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition for PC or Mac. WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition game is not available for mobile.

iOS users should first play the free Amethyst Mountain level to see if it will run properly on your device.

How to Update Your Game

PC/Mac Version from WolfQuest.org or Itch.io:

The game launcher (solo wolf on brown background) should automatically download patches and updates upon release. If you do not have the latest release, please run the game launcher, then click the Gear button in top-right and click the Redownload button. That might take awhile to fully download the latest version but you will be sure to have it.

PC/Mac Version from Steam

The Steam app automatically downloads updates and patches upon release. If you do not have the latest version, please check your Steam settings to make sure it is set to automatic updates.

Mobile Versions

Some mobile devices will download game updates automatically, but you may have to go to the app store on your device and click the Download/Update button. If you have previously purchased the full game or customization packs, those should still be available, but if they are not, please see the tips in this article: Can't Purchase or Unlock Previous Purchases
